DOT FMCSA self-compliant application is designed to ensure adherence to regulations concerning driver duty status. It includes provisions such as the 60-hour/7-days or 70-hour/8-days Rules, the 34-hour week restart with the latest suspension of two periods from 1-5 AM, 11 hours of driving per day, 14 hours on duty per day, Sleeper Berth provision, Passenger Seat provision, Personal Conveyance provision, 30-minute break provision, as well as location recording for a vehicle’s engine activations and shutdowns, with location recording every 60 minutes while the vehicle is in motion.

Moreover, this application restricts duty status changes on mobile devices only when the vehicle is at rest. It also features warnings to alert drivers visually and/or audibly in case of any malfunctions. In situations where the vehicle is stationary for 5 minutes or longer, the mobile device will automatically switch to on-duty not driving status, prompting the driver to input the correct status.
